Three Hawaiian Guitars: A Weissenborn Kona, and Two Weissenborn Hollownecks

Welcome to Bear Creek.

Bear Creek Guitars offers the finest Hawaiian Koa Weissenborn guitars on the market today. Hollowneck and Kona lap steel guitars based on the early Weissenborn, as well as ukuleles, Spanish steel-strings and more are all available. Our Hawaiian lap steels are made in the tradition of the Weissenborn guitar, but with modern updates to improve on the sound and craftsmanship of the Weissenborn of yesteryear. Hand-made from solid Hawaiian Koa, Honduran Rosewood, African Mahogany, Sapele, Avodire, aged Sitka Spruce, and other tonewoods explored during master luthier Bill Hardin’s thirty years of experience, Bear Creek is breathing new life into designs of the past, one guitar at a time.
